Winter Bubble
It’s officially September, (although it currently feels like July!) and with that the bubble is now up over the 4 hard courts, ready for the season ahead. Thank you to Covair for working hard to get this installed over the past few days and to Karen and Chris Clark for being on hand to help. We are pleased that less than eight months after the devastating flood of January 2023, the damage to the facility is now in the rear view.
We would like to remind our members that all the indoor courts are to be booked and paid for in advance of play.
Club Sessions
From September the coaches will be running some new weekly sessions:
Adults Shot Clinic:
This weekly clinic will have a different shot to work on every week, be it first serve or return of serve, we will work on the technical and tactical elements of each shot. Run by Andrew. Sign up here
Junior Drill Clinic:
This session will focus on intensity, movement and hitting a high volume of tennis balls to improve stroke production under pressure which will develop resilience when in a match situation. Run by Andrew. Sign up here
Club Performance:
This session is for the club's top advanced adult players who play in leagues 1 & 2 plus all the aspiring juniors (15yrs+), we want you to give 100% intensity to keep pushing and improving your performance. Sign up here
All club sessions, including club night/afternoon, ladies clinic and junior squads, will all commence next week (11th Sept) and will include Battle of Britain day.
Junior Squads
A reminder to parents of junior members, you've all received an email (please check junk mail) regarding junior squads for the new term. They will begin again from next week (11th Sept) and there's still a handful of children that haven't been confirmed yet so if you haven't signed your children up, please can you do so before next week to secure your space. Court 8 Update
We'd like to update members that the fence behind court 8 has now been repaired.
Club Treasurer
We still have a vacancy for the vital role of Treasurer, this may become a compliance issue in the future. Can we please ask all the accountants in our membership if any would be interested in helping the club for just a few hours a month? Please contact the office - club-communications@ctc.club
